Properties:

Pale yellow to light brown, viscous liquid. d₄²⁰ 1.125, Melting point: 38.7 °C, Boiling point: c . 270 °C (Decomp.), Flash point: 179 °C. Solubility in water 26 g/L ( 25°C ), miscible with acetone, ethyl acetate, methanol, dichloromethane, toluene, n-octanol. Hydrolytically stable under acidic and neutral conditions. Acute oral LD₅₀ 667 mg/kg and acute percutaneous LD₅₀ > 2000 mg/kg (rats). Not a skin and eye irritant (guinea pigs).

Usage:

Metalaxyl-M is a systematic fungicide with preventive and curative action, mainly absorbed through the leaves, stems, and roots. Besides seed treatments and soil applications, metalaxyl-M is used to control diseases caused by air- and soil-borne Peronosporales on a wide range of temperature, subtropical and tropical crops. Its efficency to control Plasmopara viticola on fruits and vegetables, Phytophthora infestans on potatoes and tomatoes and Peronospora tabacina on tobacco, is 2-10 folds higher than racemic Metalaxyl

Storage Stability

Stable for 2 years after receipt of order if stored under recommended conditions. After 2 years, the compound should be re-analyzed for chemical purity before use.
